Gapalicious App Reviews

Handy, but incomplete.

This *could* be such a great app, and for 4$ I think it should be! Its handy to have a gaps legal list a your fingertips, but its missing sooo many foods, basic things like kefir- NCM talks about it right from stage 1, but its not listed, cream cheese, - made from dripped yogurt, cooked spinach, swiss chard? not there! I could go on and on, but I will just say, if youre on gaps, its a great app to have, easy to use. To the developers - please add the missing foods- all of them, we are already limited as to what we can eat - if we are relying on your app, it needs to be complete, if its not, its pretty useless. Thanks!

Useless!

First of all, this is not an app, it’s just a list. It’s really pathetic, and even if it was free, I would not be happy with it. I think this company is just out to make money, and not trying to help people at all. As another reviewer said, many foods are not even listed - potatoes, bread, etc…… Complete waste of money!

Like the others disappointed

This app was a waste of money! You can only send the review by clicking a minimum of 1 star. But I would say no stars should be an option.

COMPLETE SCAM!

Do not purchase. My app lists food in a scroll-wheel. It doesn’t tell me what stage of GAPS the food is approved for, no guide, nothing. I just get to scroll through a list of foods. Lovely. Thanks, Apple and Gapalicious.

Bummer of an App

This app doesnt work. The slider that is supposed to slide between each stage isnt even there, making this app completely useless.

Thanks

Very helpful. I am starting GAPS and this is a major help. Great app

Great!!

This app does exactly what I need it to, it gives simple answers to questions about GAPS legal foods and a very easy interface. Love it & would recommend it to anyone on (or going on) the GAPS diet. Thank you, Gapalicious for making this difficult diet easier to manage!

Very Lacking, for the price

Was pretty excited about this app because my family is starting GAPS. For the high price, I expected a great deal more. Its only a long scrolling list, like a wheel. Theres no search, and not much information. It is not even close to a complete list of foods. It could be so much better, could give page numbers to explanations. For an app called GAPALICIOUS, it contains nothing but whole foods ingredients, no recipes, no rationale. This app is not worth the money. I hope very much that improvements/updates are coming.

could have been so much better

Im mad I just spent 4 dollars on this. All the developers would have had to do to make this great is to think a little bit.

Not worth the money.

This app is simply a list of things that you can eat on the gaps diet. The only cool part is that you can interactively tell the software which stage youre on but the list doesnt change. I was hoping for so much more. It could be so much more. Maybe with all the money the devloper is getting from people unwittingly buying this app they could invest in working on the app and reward their customers with an updated version that is actually worth $4.

Great!

Does just what I need it to do. Now I can check what foods I can or cant eat on the go!

not worth even 1 cent

seriously, i paid $4 for this? way too simplistic. save your money and printout a list of the allowed foods.

Not good...here is why

This app only provides a list of gaps foods and allows you to select an individual food. It then tells you at which stage that food is allowed. What would have made this helpful, at minimum, would be to have the option to see all the foods allowed at each stage. The developers clearly had a list of the foods. Why they couldnt do this is a mystery...well, actually an extreme irritation, since the app costs $4 and is almost useless. They could also have added notes on how each should or should not be prepared. The more i think about this, the more i realize this was released without any kind of real effort to help people. More of a way to make a quick buck off sick people. Nice Natasha. Did you bother using this first?

Not worth the price, but I bought it anyway

Exactly what I expected from reading reviews. It is much easier to scroll through this list than memorize it, so it is handy. But the price is way to high. Most free apps are way better than this.

Waste of $4- print out the list instead.

NOT worth the money, I wish Id read the reviews first. Really hope they plan to improve and update this pitiful app. Or give refunds... Disappointing.

I Know Better

I know better to buy something without reading the reviews first. I guess Ill blame spending $4.00 on this on it being late and me being tired. All it is, is a very short list of foods and it tells you where in the Gap Diet you will be allowed to eat them. The list is so short, it makes paying $4.00 for it seem like a scam. My advice to anyone smart enough to read the reviews is dont waste your money on this, there has to be a better tool out there. I feel like a fool.

Needs more

Its nice to have a list of GAPS foods, but the list should include more foods (this is just a copy of the list from the book). A search feature would be nice, too.

Scam Alert!

I too was taken in by this app. Even a dollar would be too much. I didn’t read the reviews (kicking myself!) because of the endorsement of the GAPS book author, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, on the gapalicious.com website. After buying this and then backtracking the sites I had been to, to gain more understanding of the diet, I now see that almost all of them are acting like they are affiliated with her and making their sites look like they are hers. Be very careful if you are looking for help with this diet.

Does Nothing

The picture of the app shows a slide for the stages of foods allowed and not allowed. The only thing I see is the word "Allowed," and a list of foods! No slide for the various stages and no list of "Not Allowed" foods. I should have paid attention to prior reviews.

Horrible app

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. It does not show which stage each food is allowed on and is just a scroll through list of foods allowed in general on the diet, which is easily accessible on the website. This reflects very poorly on Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride for endorsing this app.
